Jean-Marc Brocard
Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume 2021
Firstly, there is the 2021 Chablis from the house of Brocard. Not just any Chablis, but a Chardonnay from the "Premier Cru Fourcheaume", which quite a few consider to be a secret Grand Cru. Here, you have minerality and charm, tension and flavour at the same time. We opted for fillets of turbot with clams, morel risotto and a beurre blanc to start the meal. But this wine covers a whole range of seafood and fish. It is also an excellent accompaniment to ham and cheese such as epoisses after the meal. (2 bottles)
Château de Saint Cosme
Gigondas 2021
One of the most flexible grape varieties for high cuisine is Grenache, 70% of which is found in the 2021 Château de Saint Cosme "Gigondas" in combination with Syrah and Mourvèdre. This wine goes well with the entire range of typical Easter main courses, from boeuf bourguignon to roulades, game, mushrooms, tajine, risotto and various cheeses such as Livarot or Reblochon. Our idea for the Gigondas is a Moroccan-influenced rack of lamb with za'atar, oven vegetables and tahini. (2 bottles)
Château Rieussec
Carmes de Rieussec blanc 2020
Finally, we have included two half bottles of Château Rieussec "Carmes de Rieussec" 2020 to sweeten the end of the meal. The "Carmes" is a classic Sauternes, but a little slimmer than its big brother. It also has a wonderful freshness that balances the exotic and citric notes wonderfully. We recommend a panna cotta with Quatre Épices and orange fillets. But here, too, we can only say: the wine is flexible and if you serve it with goat's cheese or blue mould, the "Carmes de Rieussec" will certainly not refuse. (2 bottles)

The Easter gourmet package
It's not long now until we can celebrate spring, asparagus and the good life alongside the Christian high masses at Easter. Naturally, we have been thinking about how we can delight our families with good food and good wine. As a result, we have put together a package with three different wines, each in duplicate - in case guests are present.
We actually have a few specific menu recommendations in mind for the wines, but we have chosen the wines so that they are flexible and go well with a whole range of options. This time, our wine selection has landed entirely in France.
Read our recommendations for turbot, clams, boeuf bourguignon or lamb and panna cotta under Package contents.
