Château Les Charmes Godard Blanc Francs Côtes de Bordeaux 2024
2024 was a very good year for white wines in many regions. In addition to the superstars from Pessac Leognan and the extremely expensive exotics from the Médoc (Pavillon Blanc, Cos d'Estournel Blanc), there are great discoveries to be made in some appellations. Les Charmes Godard Blanc is one of these... The wine belongs to the empire of Nicolas Thienpont (Pavie Macquin, among others). The vines (75% Semilion, 25% Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris) grow in Côtes de Francs. The wine has an amazing balance of fruit, tension and creaminess. The body and great finesse suggest a much more expensive wine. A real surprise! 94 points from Antonio Galloni and Jeb Dunnuck.
