Winery Wittmann Westhofener Riesling 2019
Philipp Wittmann's "Westhofener Riesling" is not just a local wine, but a Premier Cru from the Morstein and Brunnenhäuschen vineyards, matured mainly in single and double barrels. The wine is fascinating in its perfect maturity, in its complexity, which is not cerebral, but charming and noble. The "Aus Ersten Lagen" wine offers remarkable depth, a typical slightly flinty, reductive nose, lots of rocky spice, citrus juice and zest and juicy stone fruit. On the one hand, it is concentrated, but on the other hand it is vibrantly lively and mineral until the long finish.
