Even though the Omina Romana estate, founded in 2007, is located in the heart of Lazio in a region with a wine-growing tradition dating back thousands of years, the portfolio is characterised by French rather than Etruscan/Roman grape varieties. This is also the case with the Cabernet Franc produced for the top line "Linea Ars Magna'. The secret behind its quality is the terroir. The lush Lazio sun ensures the ripeness of the sophisticated Cabernet Franc, while the open location and proximity to the sea provide a constant thermal breeze - and therefore cooling and grape health. Strict selection and around 1.5 years of ageing in oak and at least as long in the bottle result in a multi-layered, highly elegant Cabernet Franc full of fruit and fine spice.

Viticulture has existed in the Latium region for around 2500 years. The Omina Romana winery, founded by Anton and Katharina Börner, has been in existence since 2007. With the clear goal of producing only top-quality wines, the founders chose an area near Velletri, 40 kilometres southeast of Rome.
