The palate has power, but also finesse: silky phenolics, a fine, almost lucid acidity and a very stylish sweetness that rounds off the structure. "Initially smoky and yeasty on the nose, also flint, followed by ripe aromas of pear and sesame slices. On the palate, the supple attack leads into a lively acidity that is buffered by a pinch of residual sweetness. A taut, robust structure. Ripe flavours linger on the finish." 93 points
