The multi-layered wines from Rudolf Fürst in Franconia regularly demonstrate that Pinot Blanc is often unjustly overshadowed by its "big brother' Chardonnay. The shell limestone subsoil of the Volkach vineyards, when combined with the grape variety, produces a creamy, spicy wine with a honeydew melon and peach flavour and plenty of drinking pleasure, even in the basic quality. The wine was matured in large wooden barrels. In addition to the typical varietal fruit, elegant floral notes pervade the "Pur Mineral'. The great care taken in the vineyard and cellar work is rewarded with remarkable finesse, great length and considerable ageing potential. "Pur mineral' offers a lot of flavour for the money.

At home in Bürgstatt am Main, in the westernmost corner of Franconia, the winery looks back on a tradition of almost 400 years. in 1997, Paul and Monika Fürst took over the business, renovated parcels and acquired more. Since 2018, the management has been in the hands of their son Sebastian and his wife Isabell. Today, the vineyard covers 21 ha and is 60% planted with Pinot Noir. In addition, there is Frühburgunder, Chardonnay, Weißburgunder and Riesling.
