Glaetzer Wines
When Australian wine has Brandenburg roots, there must be a special family history behind it. in 1888, the Glaetzers landed in Adelaide to settle in the nearby Barossa Valley.
The 2018 vintage was probably one of the best in the history of South Australia. And so, of course, Ben Glaetzer has also produced some outstanding wines. One of these is the modern classic called "Amon-Ra". The fruit of the Shiraz comes exclusively from old and ancient vines from the legendary Ebenezer district in the Barossa Valley. It is a full, long, deep and silky wine with a delicious blend of deep, black fruit, olive tapenade and five spices with a very fine-grained tannin. ROBERT PARKER gives it 98 points.
