The debut vintage of this small but exquisite winery was a clear indication of what was to be expected in the future. After years of travelling in Burgundy and Burgenland and 13 years as operations manager at St. Anthony, Felix Peters had decided to produce wine on his own in future. On selected fine vineyards, using the very best techniques. Tragically, Peters fell seriously ill shortly afterwards and died - far too soon - in 2024. What will remain of him is his vision of winemaking, characterised by Burgundian models. Like this Riesling, grown in top parcels of the Niersteiner Roter Hang. Luscious yellow fruit, exciting slate flavour and acid finesse. This is Riesling from the Rotliegende. Literally a legacy!

It is based on the experience he gained at Domaine de la Vougeraie and Schloss Halbturn in Burgenland, among others. He makes no secret of his love of Burgundy varieties, but 40 per cent of the four hectares of vines are also planted with Riesling. After all, he is Rheinhesse.
