Franz Hirtzberger Winery
The Hirtzberger family has been producing wines in Spitz in the Wachau for five generations. The Grand Cru from the Singerriedel, Hochrain and Honigvogl vineyards are among the best that Austrian viticulture has to offer.
Franz Hirzberger's "Singerriedl?, rated 100 points by FALSTAFF, is an opulent, extremely intense wine reminiscent of peaches, papaya, lemons, mandarins and oranges with zest, pears and apples, crushed rocks, elderflower and jasmine. On the palate, it is ripe, silky smooth and expansive with notes of honey and ripeness. At the same time, there is a clearly defined acidity and minerality. This is liquid gold!
