Francois Mitjaville is one of the most controversial winemakers in Bordeaux. The grapes are harvested late and ripe, but not too ripe. Everything is destemmed and the wood is extremely well integrated after aging in the cellar. When you taste a Tertre Rotebouef after a certain amount of bottle aging, you always get lush fruit, great freshness, and enormous elegance and finesse. No one can do that like the grand master of St. Emilion!
