Château Haut-Brion
Haut-Brion in Pessac/Bordeaux is the only Château outside the Médoc to achieve Grand Cru Classé status with the 1855 classification.
The only Premier Cru south of the city of Bordeaux is a phenomenon. Haut Brion is already delicious early on and yet needs years of maturation to show its full splendour.Due to its proximity to the town of Lognan, the vines are actually always spared frost.Haut Brion is always a little different.Even the classic bottle looks more like a Burgundy than a Bordeaux. The wine is also appealing because of its Burgundian fullness and not because of the taut tannin structure that is also present. This 2020 presents itself as delicate, supple and soft: elegant black berry fruit, carried by polished, ripe tannins, ending in fine chocolate tones, all perfectly interwoven in a powerful, endlessly long finish.
