Tenuta Luce della Vite was originally founded by Vittorio Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi. Today, under the management of Lamberto Frescobaldi, it produces an exceptional wine near Montalcino year after year according to a very simple recipe. Fifty-fifty is the simple recipe for the "Luce? cuvée. Merlot and Sangiovese in equal parts bring their best to a dream pairing. Two years of ageing in barriques, 80 percent of which are new, then merge into a unity far greater than the sum of its two parts. The "Luce? presents itself with blackberry and mulberry fruit, delicately surrounded by floral tones, spicy sweetness and silky tannins. Leather, cocoa and roasted substances complete the complex aroma painting, which ends in an exceptionally long finish.
