Just like its Napa Valley brother, the Cabernet Sauvignon from Louis M. Martini's Sonoma Country offers a lot of outrageously favourable Cabernet fun. An imposing but well-defined body with radiantly present fruit (plum, blackberry, dark cherry) plus toasty herbal and smoky notes, a little tobacco. The Sonoma County is extraordinarily accessible, with flattering yet firm, structuring tannins that prevent the wine from appearing clumsy. A Cabernet Sauvignon jewel straight out of a picture book - and at a price for all days.
