Torbreck Vintners The Steading 2019

South Australia - Barossa Valley, Australia, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l

The wine comes from Grenache, Mourvèdre and Shiraz from Gomersal, Lyndoch, Greenock, Moppa, Marananga, Seppeltsfield and Ebenezer, some of which are well over 100 years old. The lots were vinified individually. The cuvée consists of 60% Grenache, 21% Shiraz and 19% Mourvèdre, which were matured in large 4,500-litre French oak barrels. The 2019 is a generous and supple wine with flavours of wild berry jam and cherries, spicy herbs and some wood. The 2019 is a particularly elegant, fine and complex wine with the full-bodied flavour and silky tannins typical of Barossa.

Torbreck Vintners

Founded in 1994 by Dave Powell, the Torbreck winery in Australia's Barossa Valley is one of the continent's best-known. Above all, it stands for the preservation of a unique heritage of vines up to 170 years old. Torbreck produces great wines from old, so-called ancestor vines and has gradually expanded its portfolio in an impressive way over time.
