Glaetzer Wines
When Australian wine has Brandenburg roots, there must be a special family history behind it. in 1888, the Glaetzers landed in Adelaide to settle in the nearby Barossa Valley.
In his tasting note, British wine critic Matthew Jukes names the 2018 vintage of "The Eye of Ra' in the same league as wine icons such as Romanée-Conti, Spottswoode and Ornellaia. Erin Larkin from Parker's The Wine Advocate calls the wine a superstar, enthusiastically notes its velvety concentration and is surprised by the depth, length and diversity of the Egyptian Eye of Ra. He discovers nothing less than a "galaxy of flavours' in the glass. Jukes takes the same line: in view of its perfect balance, "The Eye of Ra' is by no means a monster wine - its incredible fireworks of flavours nevertheless have a monstrous length. A wine monument that defies conventional wine descriptions due to its radical and uncompromising style.
