The Omina Romana winery is located in the historic wine-growing region of Lazio, south-east of Rome. The temperate climate, characterised by the sea and the nearby mountains, is ideal for winegrowing. The 2022 Hermes Diactores is a cuvée that is essentially characterised by the Viognier grape variety, along with Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni and Petit Manseng. Intense aromas of ripe apricots, exotic fruits and floral notes such as jasmine and white flowers emerge from the glass. The creamy texture and taut acidity on the palate are particularly impressive, leading to a lingering finish.

Viticulture has existed in the Latium region for around 2500 years. The Omina Romana winery, founded by Anton and Katharina Börner, has been in existence since 2007. With the clear goal of producing only top-quality wines, the founders chose an area near Velletri, 40 kilometres southeast of Rome.
