Cabernet Sauvignon is also the dominant variety in the 2021 "Saffredi? vintage - however, with around 60% of the cuvée, it is lower than in the previous year, while the 30% Merlot is correspondingly higher. The fact that the remaining 10%, Petit Verdot, also comes from a Bordeaux grape variety is a matter of honor for a super Tuscan of the classic style. The flagship in the Fattoria le Pupille portfolio also shows what makes it special in this composition: Elegant appearance and powerful complexity are perfectly balanced, black fruit (blackcurrant and blueberry, cherry), herbs, spices ignite a great firework of aromas on the palate with a finish that lasts for minutes. 18 months of ageing in 70% new barriques provide the necessary tannin framework.
