Château La Gaffeliere Premier Grand Cru Classé GCC B St. Emilion 2021

La Gaffeliere has always been a very fine, delicate wine. The 1er Grand Cru Classé vineyard has never gone through the power phase of the broad-shouldered, over-extracted wines of this appellation, but has always remained true to itself. The 2021 also impresses with its great finesse. Everything is in an almost floating balance. There is only pure harmony between the elegant, juicy fruit and the ripe, polished tannins, with an almost salty minerality at the end. A wine for connoisseurs...not for power lovers.
