The 2023 vintage is made for Smith Haut Lafitte! Compared to its direct rivals Haut Bailly and Domaine de Chevalier, its style is somewhat more opulent. With moderate use of wood and the usual perfect cellar work, an elegant and very harmonious "Smith? emerged. Dark, juicy berries and notes of spices and a fine florality lead to a juicy, mineral finish. Great!

First mentioned in a document in the 14th century, Château Smith Haut Lafitte in the Pessac Leognan appellation, situated on the very best terroir, was acquired in the mid-19th century by the Scottish wine merchant Georges Smith, who gave the wine its current name.
