Opinions are once again divided about Château Pavie in the 2021 vintage. Some celebrate it for its enormous concentration, opulent black fruit, ethereal character and muscular structure. Others are apparently shocked by so much extraction and astringency. The terroir of the Côte Pavie is definitely one of the best in St. Emilion. It will still need a lot of time to prove its ability.
