Château Changyu Moser XV
When China's oldest wine brand Changyu, founded in 1892, joins forces with oenologist Laurenz Maria Moser V. from the 15th generation of the legendary Moser wine family, the result is bound to be something special.
A Blanc de Noir made from Cabernet Sauvignon with an ultra-delicate salmon colour reminiscent of a German Weißherbst - and also from China: wine never gets more exotic than this. And yet we are convinced by this experiment by head winemaker Lenz. M. Moser. Bone dry (less than 2 grams of residual sugar) and with fresh acidity (5.8 g/L), the Cabernet presents itself - but above all with a lot of fruit. Agrumes (grapefruit and lemon) lead the way, surrounded by raspberry and strawberry flavours. All of this is lively and light - and yet, for all its finesse, hints at the complexity that Cabernet Sauvignon is capable of. We recommend trying "Helan Mountain' with fine grilled fish - or with Bresse chicken in morel cream.
