Jayson by Pahlmeyer Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Blackberry, cassis and Mediterranean herbs form the aromatic foundation of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon from the "Jayson by Pahlmeyer' line. The philosophy behind this Pahlmeyer label is to provide the flagship wines, which always require some ageing, with somewhat earlier, more accessible partners. Different, not quite as dense - but certainly not worse. 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec complement the Cabernet Sauvignon and merge in around 15 months of French wood (88% first fermentation) to create a complex yet highly accessible, exemplary Napa Valley Cabernet characterised by taut tannins and plenty of dark fruit.
