Château Palmer Historical XIXth Century 2019

In the 19th century, Bordeaux wines were "improved? in some somewhat thinner vintages with a small addition of the powerful Syrah from Hermitage in the northern Rhône. A few years ago, Château Palmer revived what used to be a rather hidden practice and combined several thousand bottles of their respective Palmer vintages with around 10% Hermitage wine. Old tradition and new drinking experience! The best of both worlds, so to speak... The 2019 combines a great Bordeaux with a great Hermitage. The result is breathtaking. Intense dark fruit, spicy herbs, great complexity and pressure on the palate and great freshness make for an incomparable wine experience!
