Winery Geil Geyersberg Frühburgunder 2022

Only in very special vintages does Geil bottle his Frühburgunder (Pinot Précoce) from the Geyersberg as a single-vineyard wine – and then only in the smallest quantities. The grape variety produces much smaller berries than its later-ripening ancestor, and yields are therefore significantly lower. But what is available comes with an impressively deep aromatic profile. So also in the 2022 vintage: red berries, cinnamon, and dark chocolate create a warm, thoroughly harmonious aromatic triad, while fine roasted notes and hints of mocha add serious depth. An imposing exceptional wine, tailor-made for the richness and intensity of long-braised dishes, for truffled poultry, or game in sauce gibier. Or simply for a fine evening by the fireside at home.
