Jean Marc Brocard Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 2023

Bougros is the last of the seven Chablis Grand Cru climats, viewed in the direction of the Serein river. The hillside vineyard covers 15 hectares sheltered from the wind, with a slightly flatter upper section facing southwest and a steeper lower section facing south. Brocard's 30-year-old vines grow in the barren lower part, which is dominated by Kimmeridge soil, and his Bougros Grand Cru reflects this: with pronounced limestone minerality and perfectly integrated acidity, intense dill and herbal aromas, and delicate notes of candied lemon and mandarin. A delicate hint of brioche rounds off the highly elegant aroma profile of this top-quality Chablis.
