Col d'Orcia Rosso di Montalcino Toskana 2023
Rosso di Montalcino comes from the south-facing vineyards of Col d'Orcia in Montalcino. It is aged for 10 to 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels of 75 and 150 hectolitres. This bright ruby red wine delights with its aromatic complexity. It has an intense aroma of currants and wild strawberries, accompanied by sour cherries and sweet cherries. Added to this are notes of violets and dried roses, a hint of cedar, orange peel, bread spices, a touch of undergrowth and a trace of vanilla. On the palate, the Sangiovese is elegant, balanced and juicy with a precise tannin structure. It glides across the palate, is juicy and fresh, and is a delight from the very first sip.
