Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino Magnum Toskana 2020
Brunello di Montalcino comes from grapes grown in the south-facing vineyards of Col d'Orcia, at around 300 metres above sea level. It was aged for four years, including 32 months in 25-, 50- and 75-hl oak barrels from Slavonia and Allier, followed by at least 12 months in the bottle. This ruby red Brunello with violet reflections has long been one of the benchmark Brunellos among wines produced in the classic style. The 2020 vintage shows grandeur, depth and complexity, yet is already very inviting. It offers black cherries, barberries, raspberries, plums and blood oranges, mint, cedar, cherry pits, dried violet flowers, a hint of cinnamon and vanilla, crushed stone, undergrowth and foliage.
