Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino CMC Lot.1 Conti Marone Cinzano 2019

Conti Marone Cinzano (CMC) is a new project led by Santiago Marone Cinzano, Francesco's son, who runs the family winery, Col d'Orcia. The wine comes from some of the best plots in the Canneto vineyard. Alongside the winery's classics, it is a modern Brunello with shorter maceration times and three and a half years of ageing in neutral Allier oak barrels. The garnet-red wine is a deep, complex yet open Brunello with an expansive aroma of sweet cherries, sour cherries and dried cherries. Added to this are roses, lavender and violets, sage, a hint of mint and stone, blood orange and baking spices. On the palate, the "Lot.1' is pure and juicy, silky and round with an excellent tannin structure and a beautiful acidity.
