Domaine Stéphane Tissot Poulsard Vieilles Vignes Jura 2023
Vines Stéphane Tissot
Alongside Trousseau, Poulsard is the second distinctive red grape variety of the Jura region. It produces light and fragrant wines such as Stéphane Tissot's "Poulsard Arbois Vieilles Vignes'. Old vines dating from 1942 to 1972 form the basis of this wine, which is aged in casks and stainless steel. Poulsard smells of wild strawberries, pomegranate, cranberries and a hint of blood orange, forest floor, foliage, smoke and flint. On the palate, this red wine is reminiscent of a white wine in its acidity, tension and reduced tannins. This also applies to the enormous drinkability of this natural wine in the best sense of the word.
