Buy wines from the Max Müller I winery
They call themselves wine freaks and it's easy to see why. The wine freaks are called Christian, Jennifer, Rainer and Moni, surnamed Müller, and they produce some of the best wines in Franconia. Because good is not good enough for Freaks, they have continued to improve the quality of their wines in recent years and, according to Vinum, Eichelmann, Feinschmecker and in our opinion, are in the Champions League.
Their wines are taut, complex and deep, yet always fresh, juicy and easy to drink. The grapes grow on 21 hectares around Volkach and in the Volkacher Ratsherr, Sommeracher Katzenkopf and Escherndorfer Lump parade sites on shell limestone. Silvaner is the most important grape variety here with 40%, followed by Pinot Blanc, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Scheurebe and a few others. And it has to be said that the Riesling from the Volkacher Ratsherr is now on a par with the Silvaner from the same vineyard.
