Orlando and Attilio Pecchenino now run a historic winery near Dogliani, which has been in existence since the end of the 18th century. They became famous for their Dolcetto, but in the meantime they have also built up a very good reputation for Nebbiolo and above all for Barolo. The Pecchenino winery has always been a family business, based on a beautiful old estate near Dogliani on the Bricco Botti vineyard. At the beginning of the 20th century, Attilio Pecchenino (the elder) started there with eight hectares and his son Marino took over and expanded the estate in the 1970s. Since the late 1980s, Orlando and Attilio (the younger) have been running the business, which has now grown to 39 hectares and includes vineyards in Monforte d'Alba and the Alta Langa in addition to those in Dogliani.

The Dogliani DOCG is located in the southern part of the Langhe and is particularly suitable for growing the Dolcetto grape variety. For this reason, the 20 hectares surrounding this estate are mainly planted with Dolcetto, followed by Nebbiolo and Barbera. In the famous Monforte, the family has acquired plots in Le Coste di Monforte and Bussia "Corsini" since 2004. The winery in Monforte is the result of an acquisition of plots in Ravera di Monforte in 2013, which also included a farmhouse that was later renovated and expanded for the vinification of Barolo wines.
