Francis Ford Coppola Winery

"Viticulture and filmmaking are two great art forms."

Eleanor and Francis Ford Coppola

The world-famous director has been active in the wine business for more than 50 years. in 1970, Francis Ford Coppola and his wife Eleanor acquired the historic Inglenook winery in Napa Valley. this was followed in 2006 by Château Sovereign in Geyserville (Sonoma County), which is now called "Francis Ford Coppola Winery".

The idea for the winery was as clear as it was exotic from the outset: "I was always influenced by Tivoli in Copenhagen, the inspiration for all modern amusement parks. I thought the Francis Ford Coppola Winery could become such a park for the family."

After extensive renovation work, the winery opened in 2010. With a bar, restaurants, pools, a cinema and a museum, it really does resemble an amusement park for wine fans.

Coppola has been professionally supported by Corey Beck since 1998. Since 2018, the winemaker of the year award-winning oenologist has served as CEO and Chief of Winemaking. Coppola, Beck and the rest of the team have a close network and are connected to over 150 producers (growers). The winery itself is 100 % certified sustainable. The Growers Relations team also supports the grape suppliers in their conversion to organic production.
