There was once a place on the Middle Moselle called Dusemond. The "Brauneberger Juffer" and "Brauneberger Juffer Sonnenuhr" vineyards there have always been famous for top-quality Riesling - so famous that the village has been called Brauneberg since 1925. That is marketing.
The Fritz Haag winery, which today cultivates these vineyards, was first mentioned in a document in 1605. As a reference to its history, the labels today bear the additional designation "Dusemonder Hof". Oliver and Jessica Haag have been running the 19-hectare estate since 2005.

The almost "greasy" Devonian slate of the south-facing site gives the grape "great mineral and unmistakable potential." The vineyards are worked elaborately and with traditional methods, in some cases on an 80% slope. One of the biggest challenges again and again: finding the perfect time to harvest. "The right decision of the moment of harvest makes the wine excellent."
Oliver Haag describes his wine as puristic, as an "uncopyable style between sweetness, freshness, minerality and a filigree lightness in combination with maturity and depth."
