"Wines from paradise"

Buy wines from Weingut Korrell

The fact that one of the Korrell winery's best vineyards is called "Paradise" may be a coincidence, but it reflects the feeling that Martin and Britta Korrell have when they talk about their winery in Bad Kreuznach on the Nahe.
The winery itself looks back on a history that began in 1832, when the Korrells, originally from Spain, founded a farm. It was not until 1967 that Wilfried Korrell decided to turn the mixed farm into a pure wine estate. Today, Martin and Britta Korrell are the sixth generation of owners to continue this tradition. However, the transition from father to son happened very differently than Martin had imagined. When he returned home from an internship in Australia in 1995, he found his father in a wheelchair after a serious fall. He was thrown in at the deep end, but quickly learnt to swim and, together with his wife, officially took over the winery from his parents in 2003 and took it to the top of the wine-growing region.

This is due to the constant, calm and considered quality work at the winery, but also to the outstanding sites such as the aforementioned "Paradies" in Rosenberg and St. Martin, the "Kirschheck" in Norheim, the "Klamm" in Niederhausen, and the "In den Felsen" and "Königsfels" sites in Schloßböckelheim. The approximately 26 hectares are planted with a wide range of white wine varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Noir and Dornfelder. Korrell is now also known for its sparkling wines.
