The Potzinger winery in Gabersdorf has existed since 1860, making it one of the oldest family businesses in southern Styria. Stefan Potzinger has been at the helm since 1997 and pursues the goal of "producing natural and storable wines of the highest quality". In other words, wines whose potential lies above all in "minerality, elegance and freshness".
The approximately 20 hectares of vineyards are spread across nine vineyards on the South Styrian Wine Route with its shell limestone soils and in the Sausal, which is characterised by slate - including the Sulz vineyard, a terroir that has been used for viticulture since the Middle Ages.
Potzinger is certified organic and vegan. "Sustainable and considerate cultivation of the vineyards is the most important cornerstone of the winery's philosophy."
