The Bürklin-Wolf winery itself describes the Forster Kirchenstück as the "Montrachet of the Palatinate'. Only half a hectare is owned in this exceptional location. This is enough to produce just 1,600 bottles a year. In view of the monumental Rieslings that grow here, this is woefully low. Wine critics also agree on the 2020: "Extraordinary concentration, depth and purity' states STEPHAN REINHARDT in WINE ADVOCATE and awards 97+ points, JAMES SUCKLING, after the wine has been given some air when savoured, even feels like he is in paradise and gives it a 98. A wine that the usual wine vocabulary hardly does justice to. Pese wine recommends contemplative enjoyment without any distractions - unless in the company of a good friend.

The winery, which is located in Wachenheim in the Palatinate, looks back on a history of more than 400 years. With 85 hectares of cultivated land and diverse top vineyards in the communities of Forst, Deidesheim, Ruppertsberg and Wachenheim, it is one of the largest and most renowned in Germany.
