Winery Münzberg Weisser Burgunder Godramstein Kalkmergel Magnum 2021

The 2021 Weißer Burgunder "Kalkmergel" from Godramstein was fermented spontaneously in large oak barrels and also matured there for six months on the fine lees. It offers a fragrant floral and slightly vegetal nose with apple and cherry blossom, ripe apples, citrus fruits, nuts and a little blond tobacco. On the palate, the Pinot Blanc shows a polished, bright fruit that combines with herbal notes, flowers and nuts. The acidity is clear and lively, the minerality provides vibration and saltiness. There is also a smoky and chalky note, grip on the palate and an irrepressible freshness in the finish.
