Angelus sits on one of the finest limestone terroirs in St. Emilion. You can tell from the wine. After years of many changes and the generational change, the winery has found a very hedonistic style. With one of the highest proportions of Cabernet Franc on the Right Bank, the 2021 vintage reveals a red berry, spicy and fresh fruit that is extremely refreshing with floral notes. At the end, there is a chalky saltiness and fine chocolate that makes the wine so special.

The vineyard of Château Angélus is virtually surrounded by the three churches of Saint-Émillion. When the "angel bells" (Angel) structured the day for the people in the fields and among the vines, called for prayer, announced a break - then this could be heard particularly well here.
