Winery Saronsberg Provenance Shiraz Tulbagh 2019
The single-varietal Syrah grapes were harvested in the early hours of the morning, pre-fermented cold and fermented with 25% whole bunches. After fermenting for 11 to 16 days, the wine was pressed into 300-liter French Allier oak barrels, 30% of which were new and 70% second and third fill. The wine was stored there for one and a half years. The "Provenance Shiraz? is a wine with silky but structured tannins, wonderful richness and suppleness. It smells of blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and plums, with a hint of smoke and meat, violets and stone. A perfect barbecue wine.
