Winery Münzberg Godramstein Kalkgestein Spätburgunder 2020

Palatinate, Germany, Red wine, Spätburgunder
0.75 l

Perfecting what nature has given the grapes in the cellar is the core of Münzberg's wine philosophy. The 2020 Pinot Noir, which comes from clayey Keuper with a high limestone content, is the perfect example of this. Hand-picking and strict selection with a correspondingly low yield, ageing in barriques in first to third passage for 12 months create a wine with grip. Ripe, beguiling fruit of black berries and cherries, present tannin, herbs, a little pepper and smoke form a highly harmonious and complete Pinot Noir that will cut an excellent figure not only with wild boar ragout or pink saddle of venison.

Münzberg Winery

The Münzberg is located near the Palatinate town of Landau - in the midst of a gently rolling cultural landscape characterised by fruit trees and vineyards. Named after coins found in Roman times, the mountain is home to the vineyard of the same name. It is run by the Keßler family.
