The winery with the famous carillon in the main tower (the second wine Carillon is named after it) has been one of the absolute top St. Emilions for many years and was finally promoted to 1er Grand Cru Classé A in 2012. Angélus cultivates a rather opulent style and impresses in 2020 with a refined mix of cherry, floral notes, wild berries and liquorice accompanied by a coffee-chocolate note. Polished tannins and a powerful finish show all the power that lies within.

The vineyard of Château Angélus is virtually surrounded by the three churches of Saint-Émillion. When the "angel bells" (Angel) structured the day for the people in the fields and among the vines, called for prayer, announced a break - then this could be heard particularly well here.
