Winery Velich Welschriesling Trockenbeerenauslese weiß 2009
Heinz Velich's Trockenbeerenauslese from Welschriesling comes from the Seewinkel region on Lake Neusiedl, where the constant early morning fog favors the formation of the noble rot Botrytis. The TBA is made exclusively from raisined grapes, which are fermented spontaneously and matured for over ten years in used barriques. The wine is extremely complex and dense with notes of pipe tobacco and dried dates, figs, plums and apricots, candied ginger and oranges, honey and white nougat, malt and mocha. On the palate it is thick, complex, creamy, elegant and creamy, with a perfect balance between sweetness and lively acidity as well as a fantastic saltiness.
