The Burgenland wine-growing region is located in the east of Austria and stretches along the Hungarian border.

The climatic conditions in Burgenland are characterised by the Pannonian climate, which is characterised by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
The wines of Burgenland are characterised by their fruitiness, structure and elegance. The red wines are often full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a pronounced fruitiness, while the white wines are fresh, aromatic and balanced. The sweet wines from the region are world-famous for their concentrated flavours, fine acidity and long shelf life.
