Cassis, cherry and blackberry versus saddle leather, liquorice and wild herbs characterise the "Estate Cabernet' from DAOU. 100 per cent single-varietal, matured in 80 per cent new French wood, it is a typical representative of a Californian Cabernet - juicy and powerful on the palate with fine chocolate notes, good structure and elegantly matured tannins. The present acidity skilfully balances the lush, dense, fleshy aromas.

"Daou" is basically nothing less than synonymous with the highest quality, highly decorated Bordeaux-style red wines from Paso Roble, the wine-growing region between the West Coast metropolises of Los Angeles and San Francisco. The vineyards of the brothers Daniel and Georges Daou are located in the western hills of this area.
