Winery Heinrich Salzberg 2009
60% Merlot, 30% Blaufränkisch and 10% Zweigelt are the ingredients for this highly complex, perfectly matured wine. They all come from different parcels of the Golser Salzberg, were harvested by hand from the end of September 2009, fermented spontaneously in oak barrels and matured for 30 months in 500-liter wooden barrels. The dark garnet-red wine has a rich aroma of wild berry compote and cherries, graphite and tobacco, licorice and nougat, rosemary and ethereal notes. A powerful yet elegant wine of great complexity and length, with a clear acid structure and the finest tannins. 15 years of ageing have made this wine great.
