You can clearly sense the genes of Mouton Rothschild. An "Almaviva" is never the foremost in the first tasting, it does not pander. It always needs a few years to mature. But then the full class of this top crus from Chile is revealed. And just like its "progenitor", all the finesse and elegance of a great classic comes to the fore. The rather unusual cuvée is a good combination of Europe and overseas: Cabernet Sauvignon (over 70%), Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
