Emmerich Knoll Kellerberg Smaragd Riesling 2022

There is no doubt that Kellerberg is one of the top vineyards in the Wachau region. Gneiss with a thin layer of loess as subsoil and a constant supply of cool air from the Waldviertel provide the perfect soil for Knoll's Smaragden wines from this vineyard, which are characterised by both lush aromas and intense minerality. The 2022 vintage captivates with intensely ripe tropical fruit (mango, papaya) and apricot and citrus zest, accompanied by minty herbal notes. On the palate, the Kellerberg is juicy, opulent and full of melt, with lush fruit, fresh acidity and plenty of mineral grip – yet always remains highly precise. Riesling hedonism in its purest form.
