Bodegas Salentein Puramun Reserva Cofermented 2018

Mendoza, Argentinia, Red wine, wine cuvée
0.75 l

Around three quarters Malbec, supplemented by a quarter Petit Verdot, form the basis for this fine Argentinian red from Puramun. As the name suggests, the grapes are harvested and fermented together. The Petit Verdot has the task of giving the Malbec additional structure, length and fruit (blueberry!). Aged for 12 months in 30% new French wood, the two components merge into a rare and intensely harmonious unit, of which José "Pepe' Galante produces just 6,000 bottles a year.

Bodega Salentein

The Val de Uva in the Argentinean province of Mendoza is considered the highest wine-growing area in the world. In the 17th century, Jesuits planted the first vines here at the foot of the Andes. Today, it is Bodega Salentein that makes use of the characteristics of this unique landscape to produce internationally renowned top wines.
