Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2021
Pavillon Rouge is not a conventional second wine, if only because its blend has a fairly high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is therefore very close to its big brother Château Margaux in the very elegant 2021 vintage. Precise dark berry fruit and lots of florality and typical hints of graphite show enormous character. It is never particularly cheap, but in return you have a "small? Château Margaux in your glass!
