Château Margaux
Even Wikipedia can only speculate as to whether Hemingway gave his daughter the name "Margaux" in reference to the place or the vineyard.
Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux 2019
Can this Pavillon Rouge still be called a "second wine'? Isn't it more like a member of the Château Margaux family with great independence and grandeur? A Margaux of exceptional clarity and nobility. On the nose, blackcurrant, violet, sandalwood and fine smoke. Silky and precise on the palate, carried by cool energy; with fine-grained tannins, brilliant acidity and a vibrant finish, it has received multiple 95-point ratings. A wine with the soul of a grand vin.
